Delhi BJP today paid tribute to 93-year-old RSS pracharak Sohan Singh, who died yesterday, and expressed grief over his demise.
Singh died last night at Keshavkunj in Delhi and was cremated today at Nigambodh Ghat here.
Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said Singh's life and work as a pracharak were spread over seven decades.
"In 1943, he qualified for Air Force Officer rank but he rejected the job in British Army and instead joined RSS as a pracharak. In his 70 years of work in RSS, he held several responsibilities. Singh was like a father figure for most of the present generation working in BJP and other bodies related to RSS," he said.
