BJP has set up 18 party panels to oversee the preparations for the pre-poll rally here on Sept. 29, which is to be addressed by its prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi.

Former Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta has been appointed convener of the event which is to be held in West Delhi's Rohini.

"We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring success for the rally," Gupta said in a release here.

The various committees are to ensure that those attending the rally did not face any inconvenience, the release added.

The committees would look into the various aspects of the event like sanitation, water, traffic and transport, media relations and publicity, among others.

"The committees have already held their meetings, work has been distributed and all the members of these committees are working overtime to make the rally a historic success," the party said.

Apart from Gupta, other BJP members overseeing the preparations are Jaibhagwan Agarwal, Satish Upadhyay, Tilak Raj Katariya, Aashish Sood and Pawan Sharma.
