Delhi BJP today announced to hold demonstrations throughout the upcoming Assembly session in a bid to "put pressure" on the AAP government to table the Fourth Finance Commission report and introduce Lokpal Bill in the Vidhan Sabha.
"It is quite surprising that the Arvind Kejriwal government, which came to power on the promise of "Swaraj-Lokpal", is now avoiding Lokpal and trying to stall the report of Fourth Finance Commission to paralyse the Municipal Corporations that are the symbols of Swaraj," Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said in a joint press conference.
Party leaders Vijender Gupta and Ramesh Bidhuri said that the demonstrations will be held during the forthcoming Assembly session to protest against the "injustice" to the Municipal Corporations by the Delhi government.

"The previous Kejriwal government had resigned on the issue of Jan Lokpal in 2014, but after coming to power for the second time this government is dithering on the issue of Lokpal even after nine months of its rule," Gupta said.
Mayors of the three BJP-ruled municipal corporations - Subhash Arya (South), Ravinder Gupta (North) and Harsh Malhotra (East) - were also present in the Press Conference.
