The Delhi Congress on Monday launched its door-to-door campaign in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, seeking to expose alleged failures and corruption of the ruling AAP in Delhi and the BJP at the Centre.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Ajay Maken, who launched the 'Lok Sampark Abhiyan' (public outreach campaign) at Sant Ravidas Chowk in central Delhi, claimed that people are fed up with the AAP and the BJP.
"It has now become very clear that the people of Delhi have fully understood the false promises and non-performance of the Arvind Kejriwal government and Narendra Modi's jumlas (rhetorics) and inefficiency," he said.
Maken claimed that people are now looking towards Congress president Rahul Gandhi with much hope as only his party can provide a stable and efficient government.
During the launch of the campaign, Maken visited nearby areas and his party workers distributed two booklets pertaining to "false promises made by the Modi government and corruption in the Kejriwal government".
The 'Lok Sampark Abhiyan' will continue till November 19 in which three lakh Congress workers will interact with people across the city.
