Delhi Customs felicitates 'Swachhata Prahari'

Senior customs officials Tuesday felicitated support staff working here as 'Swachhata Prahari' in recognition of their efforts in keeping the office premises clean.

During the campaign Swachhta hi Sewa, 2018, the Delhi Customs Zone organised a walking/plogging programme from New Customs House to Aero city and back, on the birth anniversary of father of nation Mahatma Gandhi, a statement issued by the customs said.

Over 250 employees participated in the initiative, it said.

Officers and staff cleaned the roadside by way of plogging, a combination of jogging with picking up litter.

They also did 'shramdaan' and plantation in the area outside their office premise and signed the Swachhta pledge board to keep their country clean, the statement said.

 

On this occasion all the cleaning/ support staff were also felicitated as 'Swachhata Prahari' by John Joseph, Member, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
