Delhi scored an impressive 2-0 victory over hosts Goa in the quarter final league in the National U-18 Women's Football Championship, here today.

Goa were unlucky two times with the ball hitting the crossbar. Meghna Arora scored the first goal for Delhi in the 43rd minute as the visitors took 1-0 lead while going to half time. Goa kept trying for the equaliser but their key players Velanie Fernandes, Cianna Lobo and Anline Fernandes were marked brilliantly by the Delhi defence on a one-on-one strategic gameplay.

The Delhi team did not give much room for Goa midfielders to create plays and minimised the goal scoring opportunities for Goan forwards.

As Goa went ahead in trying to find an equaliser, it started creating big gapes in their defence line.

Delhi made a nice counter attack move and scored a second goal in 78th minutes with Anushka Samuel striking. Goa still has the chance to make it to the semi-final if they defeat Odisha and Mizoram in their next two games.
