This season will mark Joshipura's first-ever show at Lakme Fashion Week, a press release stated.

Dubbed as the next 'Designer of India', the multi-award winning former NIFT student is greatly looking forward to the opportunity.

"It is an honour to be invited to showcase at the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week. For designers like myself, who have sharpened their skills in India and abroad and seen the industry develop it is important that we continue to promote talent here," Joshipura said in a statement here.

Joshipura's fashion range fuses contemporary silhouettes with modern interpretations of embellishments.

The last season saw two grand finales - one by Kallol Dutta and other by Pankaj-Nidhi. Both were the first timers at the glitzy fashion event.

"We are delighted to have Namrata Joshipura presenting the grand finale. This will be her first ever show at LFW, which promises to be a grand showcase. Namrata's contemporary, cutting-edge aesthetic promises to make the Lakme fashion statement for the season iconic at the grand finale," said Purnima Lamba, Head Innovations, Lakme, said.
