Delhi dismiss Mumbai for 156 on day one

Delhi dismissed Mumbai for 156 on day one of the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals at the Driems Ground here today.

Delhi pacers Sumit Narwal (3/37) and Pradee Sangwan did bulk of the damage while left-arm spinner Manan Sharma (2/39) also did the job as they bowled out the opposition in 81 overs.

Mumbai captain Aditya Tare (39) and Nikhil Patil (54 not out) were the only ones to make a substantial contribution.

In reply, Delhi were 20 for one at stumps with Unmukt Chand (15) back in the hut. Skipper Gautam Gambhir was on five.

Brief scores: Mumbai 156 in 81 overs (Aditya Tare 39, Nikhil Patil 54 not out). Delhi 15/0 in 6.5 overs.
