Delhi experiences overcast, humid day

Overcast conditions persisted in the national capital today as high humidity level caused discomfort to Delhiites.

Humidity in the air was recorded between 59 and 88 per cent during the day, MeT officials said.

The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, while the minimum settled at 27.8 degrees, one point above normal.

According to the MeT department, 0.2-mm rainfall was recorded at Palam observatory. However, other parts of the city did not receive any rainfall.

The weatherman has predicted light rainfall and thundershowers in some parts of the city. "The sky will remain generally cloudy. Light rain/thundershowers may occur in some areas," the weatherman said.
 

The maximum and minimum temperature is likely to settle around 37 and 27 degrees Celsius tomorrow.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, while the minimum settled at 27 degrees.
