Delhi gang-rape culprits have no right to live: Pratibha Patil

"As the case falls under the rarest of rare category, in my opinion the guilty had no right to live," she told a Marathi news-channel this evening.

While capital punishment is needed to be debated in Parliament and by legal experts, its implementation should be considered in the rarest of rare cases, Patil said.

She also called for a change of social mindset and particularly that of men and asked the youths to bring about the transformation by eradicating such evil tendencies.
