The Delhi government today commemorated the struggle of freedom fighters and paid tribute to martyrs on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The 'Shaheed Utsav' was presided by Delhi Labour and General Administration Department (GAD) minister Gopal Rai who also launched a calendar based on the life and struggle of the freedom fighters.
According to the government, the function, held at the Constitution Club of India, was attended by a large number of participants including freedom fighters and families of martyrs.
Lauding their contribution, Rai in a statement said, "Our youth must be familiarised with the sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
