The Delhi government today invited online application for issuance of 10,000 permits to auto-rickshaws.
The decision will increase the numbers of auto-rickshaws plying across the national capital.
"The transport department has decided to invite application for 10,000 auto permits. Only online application will be accepted by the department," said a senior government official.
The official also said that applicants can file their applications at www.Transport.Delhi.Gov.In till February 17.
In December 2015, the AAP government had suspended three Transport department officials over alleged corruption in issuing fresh Letters Of Interest (LOIs) for three-wheelers.
