BJP leader Vijendra Gupta today accused the AAP government of misleading and "misinforming" the people of Delhi through its advertisements in past six months.
"The Delhi Government has misinformed and misguided the Delhiites through its advertisement. They should stop wasting public money on false advertisement and concentrate on real development," said the leader of Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Vijender Gupta.
He alleged that the Delhi government is making "false claim" that electricity bills have been halved and 20,000 litres of free water is being provided to every family.
"Neither the electricity bills have been halved to the every household nor 20,000 litres of free water is being supplied to every family and in fact the benefit is being given only to a small quantum of eligible household," he said.
He blamed Kejriwal government for "boasting" their efforts of strengthening women security in the national capital and claimed that efforts have not been made as were promised.
"The government has boasted that women's safety has been strengthened by installing CCTVs and marshals in buses. The fact remains that out of the proposed 10,000 home guard marshals, only 2000 i.E., one-fifth marshals have been deployed so far," he said.
Citing the stabbing incident which took place on M B Road yesterday, he said even the marshals are feeling insecure about their security.
"Even these marshals are being exploited. They do not get any transport to go home after midnight. How can we expect them to protect ladies?," he said.
He questioned the Delhi government about their promise of creating one lakh jobs and said the Kejriwal Government has made mockery of increase in circle rates in rural areas.
"The circle rate of agriculture land are said to be increased for seven times for farmers but the reality is that the entire issue has become a mockery as the proper procedures has not been followed and the issue is still hanging," he said.
