Delhi govt relieves five DANICS officers

Delhi government today relieved five DANICS officers from their services in the city administration, so that they could join the Andaman & Nicobar Island administration.

The order, issued by the Services Department of Delhi Government, said, Delhi Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) officer, DSIIDC Managing Director Sanjeev Ahuja has been relieved from his post with immediate effect.

All five DANICS officer had been transferred in July by the Centre to Andaman & Nicobar.

A section of IAS officers had recently expressed disappointment over Ahuja holding the post of Managing Director of DSIIDC as such position was held by IAS cadre officers in the past.
 

The other four DANICS officers who have been relieved by the Delhi government are Special Director (Education) Shashi Kaushal, Joint Commissioner (Labour) Sushil Singh, ADM (South District) Richa and Manoj Kumar Diwedi deputed in South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
