The Delhi government's two-day job fair began today with Employment Minister Gopal Rai saying more such events would be organised in the coming days.

As many as 89 companies participated on the first day of the job fair being held at the Thyagaraj Stadium here.

According to the government, over 15,000 aspirants are expected to get job offers on the spot during the two-day fair.

"The government is providing the opportunity of jobs to the youth through such events. In future, more job fairs will be organised by the Delhi government," Rai said here.

This is the third such job fair being organised by the Arvind Kejriwal government.

Around 25,000 aspirants had attended the first job fair held in December 2015, while the second one registered a footfall of 12,000 last November.

Rai said interested candidates need to enrol themselves on the government's job portal to participate, and select companies as per their educational qualifications.
