Delhi govt sets up helpline for info on Ebola

Delhi government has set up a control room and helpline in the city for internal monitoring of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and to provide information about the disease to the public.

The control room can be contacted at 011-22307145.

"As of now Ebola has not reached India. So the helpline is for follow up and to clear people's queries. The control room has been mainly set up for internal monitoring," said a senior Health Department official.

Also, Centre has provided 400 personnel protection equipments to the state till now and EVD related guidelines have been disseminated to all stakeholders.
 

Government has identified Lok Nayak Jai Prakash hospital for management of referral cases of Ebola.

At present, passengers coming from affected countries are being screened at IGI Airport where government has also set isolation and quarantine facilities for highly suspected cases.
