Delhi govt to built more toilets, community centres in E Delhi

It is also planning to construct more community centres in east Delhi to ensure that residents do not face difficulties in organising social gatherings.

This was announced by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit while inaugurating a new guest house of Dedeshiye Bharat Mandal at Karkardooma institutional area. Health Minister Ashok Walia was also present at the occasion.

"The building of 50-60 toilets in east Delhi will go a long way in serving the sanitation needs of the area," Dikshit said.

She said the city government is fully conscious of the developmental needs of the Trans Yamuna area and committed to fulfill them in the right earnest.

 

The past few years had witnessed coming up of super speciality and other hospitals, community centres and a cultural centre in East Delhi, Dikshit said.
