Delhi government has decided to felicitate the family members of baby girls born here tomorrow on the occasion of 'International Day of the Girl Child'.
A senior official said that the scheme includes Delhi and central government hospitals, adding that a decision was taken today to deploy welfare officers in each hospital towards that end.
"Government will felicitate families of baby girls born tomorrow in Delhi and central government hospitals on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child," the official said.
According to official, welfare officers deployed at the said hospitals will felicitate family members of the newborn girl child on behalf of Delhi government.
Two days back, Delhi government had also decided to provide free rides to the girl child and women on DTC and Cluster buses on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child on October 11.
