Delhi govt to organise animal welfare camp in Qutabgarh

In a move that is going to benefit hundreds of cattle owners, the Delhi government is planning to organise a mega Animal Treatment and Welfare Camp at Qutabgarh village in the North West District on November 15.

The camp, which is organised under the aegis of the Animal Husbandry Unit of the Development Department every year, will provide veterinary services in the remote areas of North West Delhi district.

"Approximately 300 large animals and 150 small animals (pets) of Qutabgarh and surrounding villages like Punjab Khod, Jat Khod, Jaunti, Auchandi Border Bazitpur, Bhawana, Mangeshpur, Tatesar, Katewada, Jhimarpura, are likely to be benefited from the camp," a department release said.
 

The camp, which won't have any entry free, will be inaugurated by Puneet Kumar Goel, Secretary cum Commissioner Development Department.

Among other facilities the camp will provide medicines, vaccination, control of external and internal parasites and artificial insemination of animals.
