A major reshuffle of Delhi Administrative Subordinate Services (DASS) cadre employees was today effected by the government.

As many as 87 employees belonging to the DASS III cadre have been transferred and, through an office order, asked to report to their new departments on Friday.

Also, three Grade II DASS cadre officials have been given transfer orders and asked to join their new departments from Wednesday.

Officials deployed for election-related work shall continue to perform the same even after joining their new assignments, said the transfer order.

A major chunk of the officials who have been transferred were asked to report to the Divisional Commissioner's office. A government source said that the transfers were done keeping in mind the upcoming general elections.

"With the model code of conduct set to come into effect in March, election related work will pick up. A big section of personnel will work under district election officers," said a government source.
