Delhi BJP today urged the state government to computerise Public Distribution System (PDS) and also sell pulses at ration shops in the national capital.

In a letter to chief secretary D M Spolia, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said that PDS should be computerised and pulses should also be sold at ration shops.

Upadhyay also said that despite inflation coming down, poor people are unable to include pulses and other protein foods in their regular diet.

He also demanded that all ration card holders be provided sugar and all food items at ration shops be provided in packs of 1 kg and half kg as this will ensure both quality and quantity.

"If BJP comes to power, it will work on these lines and ensure a proper Public Distribution System in the national capital," he said.
