Delhi government has warned against hoarding of pulses and directed the wholesalers, millers and importers of pulses to provide details of stocks in their godowns.
The government is also actively considering market intervention by creating buffer stock for pulses and releasing it as and when required to stabilize prices, said a senior government official today.
State government has been actively monitoring the price situation of essential edible items.

The government has also directed the Food and Civil Supplies department to study the possibility of a law to regulate the warehousing activities in Delhi, he said.
All the trade associations have been advised to cooperate with state government in ensuring that pulses which are main sources of protein for poor, are available at reasonable prices across Delhi.
They were also warned against hoarding and speculative activities, the official added.
As a first step, all wholesalers, millers and importers in Delhi were directed to furnish details of godowns and stock positions of pulses.
