The Delhi High Court has restrained former India cricket team manager secretary Sunil Dev from acting as a director of Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) for the next three months for violation of article 314 of Companies Act.
Dev has been an India team manager on multiple tours including the latest being in England, last year.
A DDCA media release states:"Hon'ble High Court of Delhi on January 30th, 2015 in a suit -- Hari Krishan and (ANR) vs Sunil Dev and (ANR) restrained Sunil Dev (Sports Secretary, DDCA) to act as DDCA director till 29th April, 2015, the date of next hearing in the above suit as he was prima-facie found to have violated inentionally the articles of Association of DDCA and section 314 of Companies Act by accepting honorarium for four consecutive years from DDCA --2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12 sum of Rs 1,40,000, Rs 1,90,000, Rs 300,000 and Rs 300,000 respectively."
"Mr Sunil Dev will now not be participating officially as director in any of the activities in DDCA including attending any meeting of DDCA, whatsoever till 29th April, 2015," treasurer Ravinder Manchanda was quoted as saying the media release.
