A signature campaign was today launched by the Delhi unit of the Congress women's wing to generate support for a bill seeking 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and state legislative assemblies.
The campaign will continue till August 10.
The signatures collected during the campaign, in favour of passage of the women's reservation bill, will be handed over to the President on the occasion of birth anniversary of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on August 17, said Delhi Mahila Congress president Sai Anamika.
"The nationwide signature campaign launched by the All India Mahila Congress would build up pressure on the NDA government for the passage of the Women's Reservation Bill as early as possible," she said.
