Safety inspection of the upcoming Mandi House-ITO section of Delhi Metro today resulted in long queues and crowded trains on the Violet Line as services were briefly affected on that section.
The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) started the inspection at around 11 AM and the exercise continued till 12.15 PM. During that period, services between the Central Secretariat and Mandi House stations operated on a single line, leading to a slowing down of train movement and crowding.
