Delhi off to humid start under cloudy skies

Conditions in the morning were marked by high humidity under cloudy skies as people in the national capital appeared set for a sultry day today.

According to the weatherman, humidity in air was recorded at 70 per cent till 8.30 A.M.

The minimum temperature was at 28.4 degrees Celsius, which is normal for this part of the year.

The maximum is likely to touch the 40-degree mark today, said the MeT office even as it predicted partly cloudy skies for the rest of the day with the possibility of thundery conditions in some areas.

The maximum yesterday had settled at 43.3 degrees, four notches above normal, while the minimum was recorded at 29.2 degrees, one notch above normal.
