Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested a member of notorious Naveen Khati gang for his alleged involvement in the murder of a rival gang's member.
Acting on a tip off, police yesterday arrested Satyanand, who along with his brother and two other accomplices shot dead Pratap, a member of Manjeet Mahal gang, on March 9 this year, a senior police official said.
Satyanand worked with Delhi Home Guard from 2006 to 2011, police said.
"Satyanand had enmity with Pratap following which he asked his brother Rajesh and two other persons - Deepak and Manoj - to kill him. On March 9, they shot him dead and fled the spot," he said.
"A case has been registered against him and his three associates who will be arrested soon," the officer said.
