The Delhi Police today made a detailed presentation before Lt Governor Anil Baijal on the setting up of proposed "citizen-friendly kiosks" to provide services, including registration of complaints and tenant verification.
The presentation was made at a law and order review meeting chaired by the Lt Governor.
The lieutenant governor has suggested that the police plan these kiosks in such a way that they are people-friendly, and not very complicated, according to the L-G office.
"Some of the salient features of these proposed technology-enabled kiosks include: complaint registration, capturing biometric/aadhar card/mobile phone, graphic user interface, speech to text and text to speech facility...
"Natural language processing, reinforcement learning and self learning, acknowledgement and copy of the complaint issued," the L-G office said in a statement.
It stated that police informed the L-G that kiosks could help in providing various citizen-centric services such as senior citizen registration, Himmat Plus registration, domestic help and tenant verification, police clearance certificate among others.
Baijal advised police to explore such models so that the proposed kiosks are optimally technology-enabled in such a manner that the various citizen services are provided completely electronically without any human interface.
