Delhi Police chief meets beat constables

In a bid to ensure better policing in the national capital, the Delhi Police commissioner today interacted with beat constables in south Delhi.

In the interaction session that lasted for two hours, Delhi Police chief Amulya Patnaik spoke about community policing and ground-level beat patrolling.

He stressed that beat policing is the nerve of entire policing efforts in the city.

He also appreciated the female beat staff for their contribution.

He asked the beat staff to stay in touch with resident welfare associations, security guards, street vendors so that they remain aware about the area they are patrolling.
