Delhi Police chief, top brass, over 13,500 personnel mark IYD

Top brass of Delhi Police including commissioner Alok Kumar Verma and its over 13,500 personnel today stretched out some extra muscle to mark International Yoga Day in the national capital.

Delhi Police organised yoga camps at 16 venues, each for every special unit and police district across the city.

Verma took part in a camp held at Ramlila Grounds here.

The participants included Special Commissioners, Joint Commissioners, Additional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and all Station House Officers among others, Delhi Police chief spokesperson Taj Hassan said, who himself stretched out in a camp at an auditorium on Barakhamba Road, meant for the Crime Branch sleuths.
 

The hour-long yoga sessions were organised between 6 AM and 9 AM, except for Crime Branch and the Security unit which organised their sessions in the evening hours.

The venue which accommodated the highest number of participants was the Yamuna Sports complex in east Delhi, followed by JLN Stadium in south.
