Delhi police constable killed in clash with neighbours

Two persons, including a Delhi police constable, were killed following a scuffle with their neighbours over installation of an electric pole here, police said today.

Four persons have been arrested today in this connection, they said.

The incident happened last night when a scuffle broke out between Pravin, a Delhi police constable posted at Home Ministry, and his neighbours at Dujana village here over installation of an electric pole.

Pravin and his brother were beaten up with iron rods following which they both succumbed to injuries, police said, adding, the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

Some of Pravin's family members were injured in the clash and admitted to hospital and their condition was stated to be stable, police said.
 

Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) has been deployed in the area to avert any flare-up, police said.

The arrested persons have been identified as Vijay, Suraj, Shimla and Kanchan, they added.
