Centre has ordered Delhi Police to constitute a special investigation team to probe allegations of sexual exploitation of women by its personnel, levelled by child trafficking victims before the J S Verma committee, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
"Yes Sir. The Justice Verma Committee report has mentioned an incident of alleged gang rape in its appendices section stating that as per witness three policemen in a PCR Van abducted a girl from near a temple situated close to a ridge in Delhi," Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran said in a written reply.
Ramachandran said the ministry had sought a report from the Delhi Police on the issue which was found unsatisfactory.

According to the report, the witness' statement mentions that he was under the influence of an intoxicant at that time and his friend who was with him during the incident has since expired.
Delhi Police was of the view that it was very difficult to inquire into the incident as very few leads were available.
"Not satisfied with the preliminary report of Delhi Police, the Government have ordered the Commissioner of Police Delhi to constitute a special investigation team which should inquire into the case in a more detailed manner. It has also been directed that the police must register an FIR, extensively search the site, look for log books of the PCR of 3 years around that period and also look into records of local hospitals for the corresponding three years period," he said.
The minister said it has been directed that the SIT submit the new report within three months.
