Delhi records minimum temp 6.5 degree C

Cold conditions continued unabated in the city with the minimum temperature being recorded at 6.5 degree Celsius and dense foggy conditions being witnessed in certain parts of the city.

The maximum temperature plunged to settle at 19.2 degree Celsius, two notches below the season's average, said a MeT department official.

The moisture content in air wavered between 63 and 97 per cent.

Foggy conditions prevailed in many parts of the city as the visibility was recorded 600 meters at 5.30 AM which reduced further to 100 meters at 6.30 AM. It was recorded 700 meters at 11.30 AM and improved to 1000 meters at 2.30 PM. The MeT office has predicted clear skies for tomorrow.
 

"The skies will be mainly clear. Shallow to moderate fog would occur in several parts of the city. Dense fog would occur at isolated places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 20 and 6 degree Celsius, respectively," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the the minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius while the maximum had settled at 20.4 degrees Celsius.
