Delhi residents reel under high humidity, no rainfall

Humidity levels shot up to 90 per cent causing discomfort to Delhi residents even as the maximum and minimum temperatures hovered around normal today.

According to a Met Department official, the day temperature was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal while the minimum settled at 27.6 degree Celsius, one notch above normal.

The city witnessed a cloudy sky but no rainfall was recorded and humidity levels oscillating between 90 and 61 per cent.

"There will be a generally cloudy day tomorrow. Light rains or thundershowers may occur in some parts of the national Capital," the official said.
 

He added that the maximum and minimum temperatures tomorrow are expected to settle at around 35 and 27 degrees respectively.
