In yet another incident of road rage, a group of drunken men allegedly assaulted members of a family after a verbal spat ensued between the two sides in west Delhi's Uttam Nagar, police said today.
According to police, the incident was reported last night when the victim's family was returning to their residence in west Delhi. As the family reached near Uttam Nagar metro station, an SUV hit their car from behind which led to an altercation.
Drivers of both the vehicles got down and had argument over the accident. The argument turned violent when four occupants of the SUV stepped out and started hitting the driver of the car.

Seeing women stopping the fight passersby came to help. "As locals intervene, assailants fled from the car," a senior police officer said.
After the incident, victim made a PCR calls after which a team of police reached the spot.
Victim's family along with locals also protested against police apathy in dealing the case.
Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at Bindapur Police station and have started the investigation.
"We are scanning CCTV cameras footages installed near the spot and are trying to establish and identify the accused. We are also trying to locate the SUV as per the information furnished by the family," official said.
Victim has also alleged that four occupants in the SUV were under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place.
Recently, a man was beaten to death by occupants of a car after their vehicles collided in central Delhi's Turkman gate area.
