A former BSF jawan, who was wanted by Delhi police, and his aide have been arrested by Madhya Pradesh police, an official said today.
Acting on a tip off that Lakhan Singh, wanted by Delhi police and carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head, along with his aide Sultan were about to decamp with a consignment of illegal locally-made pistols from Signur village of the district, Superintendent of Police, Khargone, Amit Singh said today.
After receiving the alert, police reached the spot to arrested the duo last night and seized six illegal pistols from their possession, the SP added.

The officer said they suspect the weapons must have been purchased for use in the upcoming Panchayat polls in Uttar Pradesh.
He said that Lakhan had earlier served in the Border Security Force (BSF) but got associated with miscreants of Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
Lakhan is being interrogated and his accomplice Virpal Singh, who is also a wanted by Delhi Police, could also be arrested, he said.
Last year Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had written to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan requesting him to help in arresting these wanted miscreants.
