To create awareness about cleanliness and road safety, Delhi Traffic Police on Friday organised various programme, as part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwara, police said.
School students presented welcome song, dance performances and also displayed paintings based on the theme 'Saaf Sadake, Surakshit Sadake' (Clean roads, Safe roads) during the ongoing Swachhta Pakwada from December 1 to 15.
Lauding the Traffic Police for spreading the message of cleanliness and good road safety behaviour through school children, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik urged everyone to take a pledge to make Delhi, a city with clean, safe and secure roads all around.
He said that visitors assess the city on the basis of cleanliness and good road safety behaviour hence everyone should strive to achieve the bench mark of cleanliness.
Patnaik also presented prizes to the students who won the first prize in the various competitions held during the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada and School Road Safety Awareness Campaign 2019-20.
