Humidity level at 8.30 AM was recorded at 91 percent.

The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy skies for the rest of the day.

"The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum temperature is expected to hover at 26 degrees Celsius," the weatherman said.

80 Delhi-bound trains were running behind schedule by 2 to 4 hours. 15 trains were rescheduled due to foggy weather conditions in the northern region, said a senior railway official.

Several flights were also affected due to poor runway visibility conditions at the airport here, with many of them getting delayed and some being cancelled, officials said.

More than 200 arrivals and departures of flights were affected on account of weather as well as "other reasons".

The Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport here, the busiest in the country, handles around 1,100 movements per day.
