Delhiites breathe easy due to nip in the air

Delhiites felt nip in the air as rain in neighbouring states brought down temperature late in the evening here giving reprieve from the muggy weather conditions.

According to Meteorological department officials, light rain and thundershowers may occur in some parts of the city midnight onwards and temperature will also drop.

Overcast conditions will prevail throughout the day tomorrow.

"It will be partly cloudy tomorrow. Very light rain or thundershowers may occur in some areas," said the MeT forecast.

The maximum temperature was today recorded at 35.2 degree Celsius, a notch above the normal while the minimum settled at 24.9 degree Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
 

Humidity in the air was recorded between 81 and 46 per cent.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature had settled at 36.6 degrees, three notches above the season's average.

Parts of Punjab and Rajasthan were lashed by rain today.
