Delhiites experience relatively warm day

It was a warm day in the national capital today as the maximum temperature rose to settle at 26.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, said a MeT department official.

The visibility was recorded at 800 meters at 5.30 AM which dropped to 200 meters at 8.30 AM. However, it improved to 1200 as the day progressed.

The fog cover led to cancellation of six train services, while 14 trains were reported to be running late. Flight operations at Delhi Airport were normal, said a spokesperson.
 

The humidity in air oscillated between 97 and 39 per cent.

The MeT office has predicted overcast conditions for tomorrow along with the possibility of light rain in northern parts of Delhi and NCR.

"The skies will be partly cloudy. Very light rain is likely to occur in some parts of northern Delhi and NCR during the evening and night. Shallow to moderate fog is likely in some places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle at 25 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius, respectively," the official said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 24.2 degrees while the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.1 degrees Celsius.
