Delhiites wake up to sunny morning

A day after light rains brought mercury down in the national capital, Delhiites today woke up to a bright sunny day which is expected to turn partly cloudy from afternoon onwards.

According to MeT department, some parts of the city may also witness one or two spells of very light rains in the later half of the day which may cause the maximum temperature to settle around 35 degree Celsius.

The national capital received 2.4 mm of rain during the last 24 hours till 8:30 AM today. These showers caused minimum temperature to settle three notches below normal at 22 degree Celsius.
 

Humidity level was recorded at 71 per cent here at 8:30 in the morning.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded three notches below the season's average at 35.9 degree Celsius while the minimum settled at 27.5 degree Celsius, two notches above normal, a MeT department official said.
