Deliver completed projects to people for upcoming fiscal: JK

Jammu and Kashmir minister Haseeb Drabu today asked key departments to execute a 'Consolidation and Completion Plan' for delivering completed projects and schemes to people for the upcoming financial year.

The finance minister passed the directions to the heads of Power Development Department (PDD), Health, Public Health Engineering (PHE) while chairing a series of meetings to review the status of incomplete and ongoing projects of various departments.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary B B Vyas, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary Finance, Navin K Choudhary as well as principal secretaries of other departments.

Stressing on adapting target-oriented approach for completion of various ongoing projects and schemes, Drabu stressed upon the departments to complete ongoing projects in a time-bound manner and not to initiate new projects during the current and next fiscal year.
 

He instructed the departments to complete all such projects by the end of this financial year, where only 25 per cent of work is required to be completed.
