Demand for power soars in Har

The demand for electricity has increased sharply due to scorching heat and delayed monsoon, said Amit Kumar Agrawal, Managing Director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.

The sharp increase in demand has been mainly from farm and domestic sectos, he said.

The demand for energy reached an all-time high of 7812 MW yesterday, the MD said.

It was 1528.33 lakh units on June 28 this year, he said.
