Demand raised for employment generation by Tel govt

A public meeting of the unemployed and others today demanded that the Telangana government take steps for employment generation.

The meeting, named 'Koluvula kai Kotlata' (fight for jobs) which was led by Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) Chairman Kodandaram demanded that the state government fill vacancies in the government.

JAC is an outfit comprising different organisations of people. The meeting was supported by the major opposition parties.

Senior Congress MLA T Jeevan Reddy alleged that the government tried to fail the meeting.

Dismissing opposition allegations, state IT Minister K T Rama Rao said the TRS government was committed to filling 1.12 lakh jobs during its tenure.
