Singer Demi Lovato performed her hit single "Confident" at Hillary Clinton's rally, showing support for the 2016 Democratic party presidential front-runner.

The singer came out in support of Clinton on Thursday when she told some 2,000 supporters in Iowa City that she had not seen any woman more "confident" than her, reported Billboard.

After her performance, Lovato told the crowd she's supporting the former Secretary of State for "her beliefs, her strength and the fact that she completely embodies the concept of women empowerment."

Clinton then took the stage to praise Lovato as "an extraordinary example for so many in the way that you have talked about issues that people find sometimes hard to talk about."

"You've given hope and positive reinforcement to so many," she said to the singer. "I'm thrilled you're here, lending your voice and your example to our efforts to get people to get out and caucus.
