Pop star Demi Lovato is being sued by alt-pop duo Sleigh Bells for alleged copyright infringement.

The 24-year-old singer, UMG Recording and her producers, Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub, have been hit with a lawsuit by Sleigh Bellss, who claim that her track "Stars" contains similarities that "transcend the realm of coincidence" with its song "Infinity Guitars", reported Entertainment Tonight.

"A comparison of the two songs reveals that, at the very least, the combination of the hand claps and bass drum, structured as three quarter beats and a rest, with the bass drum providing a counter-rhythm to the hand claps, is at least substantially similar in both works."

The producers responded in a statement, saying, "We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato's song 'Stars.' Demi was also not involved with the production. She only wrote top line.
