Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister today claimed that the four-day International Lavi Trade Fair at Rampur was hit hard by the demonetisation of high-value currency notes.
"It is unfortunate that this year the trade fair was hit by the demonetisation of currency notes. People also showed less enthusiasm during the fair as compared to previous years due the Centre's decision," he said while addressing the fair's closing ceremony in Rampur, around 130 km from here.
The state government is ensuring equitable and speedy development of all areas, and quality in execution of works, he said.

"A large number of health and educational institutes have been opened by the present government. Besides it has also undertaken construction of roads and ensured drinking water and irrigation facilities in villages," Singh said.
The Chief Minister said to up the stature of the fair the state government had accorded it the status of an international fair.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental works worth Rs 60 crore in Rampur constituency.
The works comprise restoration and beautification of eight ancient temples, creation of tourist facilities at Rampur Bushahr and a primary health centre.
The Ayodhya, Bhimakali, Bodh, Chuvacha, Dattatrey, Guffa, Narsingh and Raghunath temples will undergo restoration.
The Himachal Tourism Board funded by the Asian Development Bank will spend Rs 18.65 crore on these temples.
