Demanding a time-bound probe by a Joint Parliamentary Committee into the alleged leak of the demonetisation information to possible beneficiaries, Womens' Congress members today said the common people are the worst sufferer of the demonetisation move.
Members of All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) also staged demonstration at Chanakyapuri here and several were detained when they tried to move towards the Prime Minister's residence, and were released later.
AIMC President, Shobha Oza said the demonetisation move created chaos as the common people were the worst sufferers.

"Government has proved that it is anti-poor, anti-farmers and anti-women. Modi has deceived the nation and the government has pathetically failed to handle the situation in proper manner as a result of which common man are penalised," she said.
The AIMC also demanded resignation of the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister over the issue.
Delhi Mahila Congress president Barkha Shukla Singh alleged that the government was making tall claims that demonetisation move will thwart corruption while the fact is agents and middlemen were allegedly earning commission.
"Ten days have gone by but the central government is not bothered with the hardships of common people and has done nothing to ease the situation," Singh said.
