Asserting that demonetisation has frozen the source of money to terrorists and anti-social elements, Union Minister Hansraj Ahir today said the country is now set on growth path.
"The decision of demonetisation will have a good effect on the Indian economy and will set the country on faster growth path. Demonetisation has also frozen the source of money to terrorists, Naxalites and other anti-social elements," the Minister of State for Home Affairs said at 'Digi Dhan Mela' organised here.
To promote digital payments special habit amongst the citizens in Maharashtra, the Central and Maharashtra government had jointly organised the Digi Dhan Mela.

Ahir also said the citizens, merchants and others need to support the digital payment platforms and make economy ultimately cashless.
The 'Mela' had over 60 stalls manned by banks, e-wallet, telecom and transportation (auto/car) network companies, Aadhaar enabled payment system (AEPS) vendors, merchants associations, 'Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra' operators, fair price Shop Owners, small vendors, self help groups from MSRLM, NPCI, UIDAI, among others.
