Den to start a market oriented channel with Snapdeal.Com

Cable distribution firm Den Networks today said it would set up a market oriented TV channel in association with Jasper Infotech, the holding company of e-retailing firm Snapdeal.Com.

The company has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Jasper Infotech Private Ltd to bring out the TV channel, Den Networks informed BSE.

The TV channel would be "used as a market place platform for facilitating the sale of branded and unbranded merchandise and services, including vouchers offered by third party sellers subject to necessary approvals," Den informed.

Jasper Infotech is the entity which owns and operates the digital commerce platform www.Snapdeal.Com
 

Den Networks has also plans to start offering Internet broadband services this year in all leading metros.

It has invested around Rs 250 crore in this project, will offer the broadband services in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Lucknow and Ahmedabad in the first stage.
